That's a great question heading into Christmas. Read Luke 2:1-20, then consider these answers based on the Christmas story. What does it take for love to be born?
· Belief that you are worthy of being called.
· Willingness to say yes to seemingly improbable requests.
· Refusal to let circumstances others would say should disqualify you from stepping out in faith.
· Accepting hard assignments.
· Accepting the mission to carry grace within you.
· Giving up comfort and satisfactions.
· Letting go of the way you thought things would be.
· Openness to hearing and trusting the voices of angels.
· Holding in your heart the confirmations of God's presence, no matter how small.
· Acceptance of others no matter how different or undesirable.
· Allowing yourself to depend on the hospitality and gifts of others.
· Trusting God no matter what.
