Afghan Refugee Assistance

For people of faith, Neighbors are not defined by proximity they are defined by love. Love that connects us to people that are different, new, and need our hospitality.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church is partnering with The Central District of the United Methodist Church of Indiana, Second Presbyterian Church, and Team Rubicon to donate NEW clothing, hygiene items and raise funds for our new neighbors: Afghan refugee families who are temporarily housed at Camp Atterbury. We hope to raise $50,000 and box trucks of donated items for families. Our sign-up genius shares the many ways that you can help share the love by blessing our new neighbors.

Be a Difference-Maker

We believe that God created you on purpose for a purpose. That you are called to be an answer to a problem in the world. Be a difference-maker in the world by using your unique gifts to impact others. We have dozens of ways to get involved (see more below). If you're not sure where to start, simply contact us and we'd love to help you find your fit!
